Rare articulated artist mannequin, 19th century, France

Articulated painter’s mannequin in carved wood.

Schaparelli said of his two models “Pure Greek beauty, supple and dignified (…) who gazes with calm indifference at the crowds who gaze at him speechless.”
The designer baptizes these models Pascal and Pascaline. Schiaparelli even organized a wedding ceremony for this funny couple, can you imagine? Our model is like Pascaline II’s little brother: silent, discreet and yet iconoclastic and subversive.
He serves as a model for artists, we find him almost alive in every position.

Height: 132 cm.
