Pair of Meissen porcelain parrot lamps and candelabra, late 18th century, after Kändler
A pair of large, late 18th-century candelabra featuring exquisitely crafted Meissen porcelain parrots. The lamps are mounted on a Louis XV-style gilt bronze frame, with branches adorned with porcelain parrots.
This parrot design, originally life-size, is attributed to the renowned sculptor Johann Joachim Kändler, around 1745-1750, who captured birds perched on tree trunks with striking realism.
