Large articulated artist’s mannequin, early 19th century, France.

Large articulated artist’s mannequin made of carved wood.

Schiaparelli said of her two mannequins: “Pure Greek beauty, supple and dignified… gazing with calm indifference at the crowds who stare at them open-mouthed.”
The designer named these mannequins Pascal and Pascaline.
Schiaparelli even organized a wedding ceremony for this quirky couple—can you imagine?
Our mannequin is like Pascaline’s little brother.
He is silent and discreet, yet iconoclastic and subversive. He serves as a model for artists, appearing almost lifelike in every pose.
